Speaking at SQL Saturday 317 Oslo

On August 30th – for one Saturday – Oslo will become the Scandinavian epicenter of the SQL Server community. For the fist edition of  SQL Saturday Oslo (#317)  is being held downtown in the Norwegian capital.

I am extremely honored and delighted to have been picked to present my session : Power View and the Cube for this SQL Saturday. Furthermore I will attend this SQL Saturday on a triple mission :

  • as a curious Scandinavian neighbor and organizer of SQL Saturday Copenhagen
  • as a PASS Regional Mentor for the Nordic Region
  • and of course a Selected speaker

I will be in very good company as the speaker list is quite impressive thanks to the hard work of the SQL User group Norway and some of its members : Cathrine Willemsen (T) and Tone Hansson (T).

I am definitely looking forward to this event and to come back to Oslo, a city which until the Eighties was a rather boring town, but it’s changed a lot, and is now much more cosmopolitan. When I go downtown, I visit the harbor to see the tall ships and the ferries, and to admire the modern architecture such as the Opera House or the new Astrup Fearnley Museum on the water’s edge.

You really don’t want to miss this event and the opportunity for free learning and networking with the Microsoft Data Platform professionals of Norway and some of the finest speakers of the SQL Server community such as : Bob Duffy, Niko Neugebauer, André Kamman, Matija Lah (and many others).

See you in Oslo…Det blir Gøy
